In Busan, entertainment facilities and singing practice areas, which were restricted to midnight due to enhanced quarantine rules in accordance with social distancing, will be fully allowed from next Monday (21st) without time restrictions.

Busan City announced today (18th) that it will lift the strengthened quarantine measures at some facilities from the 21st in consideration of the current infection trend and economic difficulties for the people.

Accordingly, the opening hours of 5 entertainment facilities, hold'em pubs, singing practice areas, and food stalls, which were until midnight, are fully permitted.

Restaurants, cafes and convenience stores that were only allowed to eat until midnight will be able to open without time limit.

Restrictions on the operation of sweat facilities such as saunas and jjimjilbangs, which were banned due to concerns about COVID-19 infection, will also be lifted.

The city explained that the quarantine rules will be relaxed as the number of confirmed cases and new group infections has decreased, such as the number of confirmed cases in the last week (12-18) was 100, down from 135 in the previous week (5-11).

Since the 24th of last month, the city has eased social distancing from level 2 to level 1.5 and has been taking additional quarantine measures for some facilities.

As the restrictions on business at the business site are lifted, the city of Busan has urged business owners to strictly abide by quarantine rules based on autonomy and responsibility.
