Accidents are occurring one after another at the construction site.

At a dam construction site in Chungju, an accident occurred when the formwork collapsed.

One worker was killed and another seriously injured as the formwork hit the construction site.

Yesterday (16th) around 11:30 am, the formwork collapsed at the construction site of a four-way dam in Angseong-myeon, Chungju-si.



During the pouring process of pouring concrete between the formwork on the opposite side using a pump car, it could not withstand the weight of the concrete and the formwork collapsed.



In this accident, 2 out of 4 daily workers who were working were transported to the hospital with 3 injuries, including being crushed by a mold, and one of them died around 7pm yesterday evening.



The accident occurred in the final stage of the construction of the Sabang Dam, which was ordered by the Chungcheongbuk-do Forest Environment Research Institute in preparation for the torrential rain in the summer.

Ministry of Employment and Labor is investigating the exact cause of the accident, such as whether the safety rules were not properly followed or the formwork itself was poor.

Earlier, on the 14th, a 3-ton iron form fell in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, and a worker in his 50s died.
