The court has tentatively concluded that the prosecution's disposition, which indicted prosecutors involved in the 'Kim Hak's illegal departure ban', was legal and decided to proceed with the trial.

Judge Kim Seon-il of the 27th Criminal Settlement Division of the Seoul Central District Court made this position today (15th) by holding a second trial date against Prosecutor Lee Kyu-won and Immigration and Foreign Policy Headquarters Director Cha Gyu-geun.

The court explained, "According to our review, we cannot find any clear evidence that the prosecution's indictment in this case is illegal, so we will proceed with the trial on the merits."

He added, "I am not saying that changes are impossible or definitive, but I am going to proceed with the trial on the premise that the prosecution's indictment is legal."

When the prosecutor was handed over to trial on charges of involvement in Kim Hak-eui's illegal departure ban, he filed a constitutional complaint, claiming that the prosecution's exercise of the right to prosecute was unconstitutional, but was dismissed.
