Victims of forced labor under Japanese colonial rule appealed today (14th), dissatisfied with the court's decision to dismiss the claim for damages.

They held a press conference and criticized the judgment of the first trial court, arguing that "the judge deserves to be impeached."

The bereaved family said, "I am desperate at the reality that the suffering of the victims of forced mobilization is distorted and denied, but I will never stop."

Earlier, on the 7th, the Civil Settlement Section 34 of the Seoul Central District Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by 85 people, including forced labor workers and their bereaved families, against 16 Japanese companies, including Japan Steel, without a trial on the merits.
