were 565 new confirmed cases of Corona 19 yesterday, maintaining the level of 500 for two days in a row.



Among the new confirmed cases, 525 are domestic cases, excluding 40 imported cases.



By region, 394 cases were confirmed in the metropolitan area, including 205 in Seoul and 170 in Gyeonggi, and 131 in non-metropolitan areas, including 23 in Gyeongnam.



Yesterday, about 792,000 people received the first vaccination a day, and the cumulative number of vaccinations reached 11.38 million, 22.2% of the nation completed the first vaccination.



Although vaccination is accelerating, the number of daily confirmed cases is still not falling from 500 to 600.



The government has decided to maintain the current social distancing level, which is level 2 in the metropolitan area and level 1.5 in non-metropolitan areas, and the ban on private gatherings of more than 5 people for three weeks from the day after tomorrow.



If more than 13 million people have completed the first vaccination by this month and the number of confirmed cases remains below 1,000, a new distancing reform plan that will ease restrictions on business will be applied from July.



If the number of confirmed cases per day is less than 1,000, restaurants and cafes as well as entertainment facilities will be able to operate until midnight.



The Seoul Metropolitan Government will start its own coexistence quarantine for one month from today, and the business hours of 36 gyms and indoor golf driving ranges in Mapo-gu and Gangdong-gu, which were selected as pilot areas, will be extended from 10:00 p.m. to midnight.
