WhatsApp is preparing a tool for editing voicemail messages, as WABetaInfo spotted while looking into a beta version of the app.

Users will therefore soon be able to listen to their voicemail message before sending it, but also to edit it.

The option "examine a voice message" was spotted a month ago already in the iOS version of a beta of WhatsApp and has recently been identified on the Android version of the app and more precisely within the beta 2.21.12.7.

A very practical tool

According to the first elements discovered by WABetaInfo, the voice message can be listened to before it is sent.

A new button will also appear to stop listening.

The user can then choose to delete or send it.

This new option to listen before sending will also allow you to listen to or read the message of the other party before sending their own or deleting it.

While the feature is still in development, its interface appears to be at an advanced stage already.

It could therefore be deployed soon, during a future update on iOS, but also Android.

It should also be noted that WhatsApp recently rolled out another feature related to voicemail messages.

Users can indeed speed up the playback speed of audio messages within the app.

A novelty particularly useful for shortening particularly long recordings, punctuated by hesitation.
