Today (9th) around 4:20 pm in Gwangju, the building that was under construction suddenly collapsed and hit a city bus on the road next to it.

It is believed that there were more than 10 drivers and passengers on the bus, some were rescued and taken to hospitals, authorities said so far, four people have been confirmed dead.

At around 4:20 pm today, the five-story building collapsed at the demolition site of the reconstruction building in Hak-dong, Gwangju.



The building collapsed in the direction of the road and hit a city bus that was stopped at the bus stop right in front of it.

As you can see, immediately after the accident, huge piles of building rubble poured down and covered the entire eight-lane road.



At the time of the accident, it is estimated that 12 people, including the driver and passengers, were on the city bus, and 8 people were rescued and are being treated at the hospital.



Three of the four people were found dead under a pile of buildings just before, and rescue work for the other one is ongoing.



It was found that workers in the collapsed building felt abnormal signs while working and evacuated.



Police and fire departments are investigating the exact cause of the accident against construction company officials and others.
