It took only 9 seconds to unlock the bike.

Last Friday (4th), Jang Ji-hwa, a resident of Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, reported to SBS that he had suffered a bicycle theft from an apartment parking lot.

It was Saturday morning when I found out that the bike had been stolen. As usual, I was trying to go out on my bike, but the bike disappeared out of nowhere.

Apparently, it was also equipped with an anti-theft lock, but a luxury bicycle worth 850,000 won disappeared without a trace.

When I checked the CCTV of the apartment management room, a scene was caught that a man appeared around 10 o'clock the night before, riding Jang's bike and leisurely leaving. The man, dressed in black, wore a mask and hat, making it difficult to recognize his face.

"When I saw the CCTV, (the criminal) took it right away. I saw it and said, 'The lock was on, but it's strange', but when I looked through the previous video,

it came out exactly 5 hours before and released it in advance. I

only wear a mask and don't wear a hat. I write and do it over and over again."

At around 5:10 PM, exactly five hours before the bike was stolen, the man found the parking lot. The man first looked around and then bowed down. He skillfully touched the lock and unlocked it in an instant. But he didn't steal the bike right away. At night, they found the parking lot and stole the bike.

Jang stuck his tongue out at the man's skill (?) who unlocked the lock in less than 10 seconds. At the same time, I informed the SBS reporters of the newly learned fact.

"

I saw on YouTube how to unlock (the lock of the bicycle lock).

It was unlocked really quickly."

In fact, if you search 'how to unlock a bicycle lock' on YouTube, related videos are pouring out. There are videos with 3.7 million views and 800,000 views. Of course, this can be useful if you forgot your lock password. However, there is also the potential for abuse. In fact, netizens also commented, "I think there will be many bike thieves" and "I stole a friend's bike with this".

According to the police, there are many cases of crimes by learning how to unlock the lock through the Internet, such as YouTube. A police officer said, "There are many people who do not feel guilty because they think that bicycle theft is a minor crime."

Bicycle theft is a frequent occurrence, accounting for nearly 20% of all life crimes. Bicycle theft is a punishable crime even when the damage is considered relatively minor. Methods to prevent theft of bicycles include: ▲ keeping them in the house or in a place illuminated by CCTV ▲ double locking devices ▲ taking pictures in case of theft.
