As the COVID-19 situation continues for a long time, the final details of the 'social distancing' reform plan to be applied from July will be revealed soon.

The Central Accident Response Headquarters announced today (6th) through reference materials, "We plan to release the final details of the reorganization plan for distancing measures (which will be applied from July) around the middle of this month."

"We have met with more than 40 related organizations and associations so far and gathered opinions on the quarantine measures for the reorganization plan," the official said. explained.

The government is reducing the distance from the current 5 steps (1 → 1.5 → 2 → 2.5 → 3) to steps 1 to 4 and minimizing the business ban (prohibition of gatherings) in multi-use facilities. We have published a draft of the reform plan.

The reorganization plan is characterized by the fact that the standard for each stage is the average number of confirmed cases per 100,000 people per day, but also considers indicators that reflect the epidemic situation, and links the size of private gatherings by stage.

Currently, 12 counties in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Jeollanam-do are piloting the reform plan.

If the first vaccination of more than 13 million people is completed by the end of this month as planned, and the weekly average daily number of confirmed cases remains below 1,000, the government will apply the reorganization of the distance from July and take some quarantine measures. We plan to alleviate it.
