The possibility of ending the case as an 'accidental death' is being weighed as no bloodstain reaction was detected on the cell phone of the late Son Jung-min's friend A.

According to the police, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul received a result from the National Forensic Service (National Forensic Service) yesterday (5th) that no bloodstain reaction was detected on Mr. A's cell phone, which was found on the 30th of last month.

Genetic test results are not yet available.

The police previously conducted a digital forensic on Mr. A's cell phone, but did not find any suspects in the crime.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 1st that, "As a result of forensicizing Mr. A's cell phone, no unusual contents related to the quarrel with Son, the motive for the crime, and the cause of death were confirmed on the cell phone."

As a result of the forensic, Mr. A's cell phone was turned off at around 7:02 am on April 25, the day of the incident, and did not turn on again. There was none.

In addition, it was reported that the 'Health' app, which activates when you move while carrying your phone, did not record any activity after 3:36 am.

As suspicions of a crime were not revealed on Mr. A's cell phone, the possibility of the case ending as a simple accident increased.

So far, it is said that Son's shoes have not been found.

Police are concentrating their investigation to find Son's shoes, the final clue to the cause of death.

On April 30, five days after Son disappeared, he was found wearing only socks in the water of the Han River near the water taxi stop at Banpo Hangang Park.

The soil on Son's socks was confirmed to be similar to the soil composition of the river bed, which is about 10 meters away from the bank of the Han River.

As the analysis results showed that this was different from the soil composition at the river bed 5 meters away from the Han River or the shore, it was inferred that Son took off his shoes while walking into the river and then drowned.

If the shoes are found around 10m from the buttocks, the reasoning that Son walked into the river with the shoes on and the shoes came off on the way will be strengthened.

The shape of the shoes buried is likely to be a decisive clue to reconstructing the situation at the time of the incident.
