Yesterday (4th), I delivered the news that the older sister who left a 3-year-old child alone in an empty house and died was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the first trial in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province. The court's verdict contained the act of a sister who left the child alone for five months, leaving only bread and milk every night.

Baby clothes and rubbish tangled together and filled the room.

This is the scene where Boram, 3 years old, was found dead in the corner of the room last February.

[The police at the time: (The child) was in the corner of the room (wrapped) in a blanket. She was lying down.]

Her older sister, Kim Mo, who thought Boram was her daughter, left her alone in this room every night since March of last year, when she went to her boyfriend's house, who was about to remarry.

On weekdays, at 6:30 p.m., Mr. Kim left about 6 to 10 loaves of bread, 1 porridge, and 4 200ml milk near the TV in the living room every time he went out and returned home at 7:00 the next morning.

On the weekend, I left a little more food and left Boram alone from Friday evening to Monday morning.

This life continued for five months until August last year, when Kim completely left home.

At that time, Boram was 80 cm tall, so it is estimated that he did not even reach the 122 cm high front door open button.

He doesn't cry often even when he's left alone, so the court judged that "there was a slim chance that Boram would be rescued by crying."

Now, attention is focused on the trial of Seok-mo, who was later identified as Boram's maternal grandmother.

The police have obtained and are analyzing a cell phone that Seok used during pregnancy and childbirth.

However, it is known that the used cell phone has already been reset several times and is experiencing difficulties in securing data.
