The Chinese manufacturer shared the information on the Weibo social network.

On June 2, it will present its new connected watch, the Watch 3. A model which should mark a turning point in the group's strategy since it will be its first watch under HarmonyOS, its new in-house operating system.

And obviously, there will be change at all levels.

The teaser poster posted by the Chinese giant suggests a radical change in design with a crown similar to that of the Apple Watch.

The design of the watch would however remain circular.

OS level, a lot of things should also change with the addition of new features and especially a total autonomy vis-à-vis the smartphone with the support of eSim.

Rumor has it that the Watch 3 will also introduce a new temperature sensor - a feature that would notably identify the first signs of a Covid infection.

A major asset

Huawei has succeeded in establishing itself in the connected watch market by offering models that are both elegant and very practical to use.

Unlike the watches of most of its competitors, Huawei offers models with a battery life of 10 to 15 days.

And if we are to believe the first echoes, the Watch 3 could once again display an above-average autonomy.

However, this characteristic would suggest a limited use of third-party apps and therefore less functionality than its rivals.

A strategy that has paid off so far.

One thing is certain: the news around connected watches promises to be hot this summer between the launch of this model at Huawei and the response from Samsung and Google.
