On May 28th, today is the 5th anniversary of a 19-year-old young man working alone at Guui Station on the Seoul subway station. Since that day, voices about creating a safe workplace have been poured out from various parts of society, but similar accidents are still recurring. Let's take a closer look at it. First, let’s connect our reporters out at Guui Station.

Reporter Shin Jung-eun, in celebration of the 5th anniversary, there is a commemoration of today?

I am now at Guui Station on Seoul Subway Line 2.

At this time of year every year, citizens in memory of Kim continue to visit, and today is also the case.

This is right here, platform 9-4 in the direction of the riverside of Guui Station.

A chrysanthemum in commemoration of Kim was placed like this, and a memo paper urged to prevent the recurrence of'this should never happen again' is attached like this.

There is a story that says, "Five years have passed since I encountered this incident in high school. I would like to say that your death has saved many people, but nothing has changed."

And tomorrow, the day after the accident, is Kim's birthday.

A citizen who identified himself as Kim's friend said, "My dear friend, I come to see you every year, but I miss you so much" and left a bouquet and a drink.

[Park Sol/Gwangjin-gu, Seoul: I kept thinking about it every time I came to Guui Station, so I remembered it in my heart, but if the basic (control room) communication had gone well, this would not have happened, but it's a pity... .]

Due to the tight time, Kim went to work alone to repair the screen door, which had to be done in a group of two, and was changed.

Last year, 2,062 people died from industrial accidents, or 5 people a day died from accidents or diseases.

In addition, 108,379 people were injured on the job site.

On the way to work, I hope there will be a world where we can keep the natural promise of'I will go back'.
