A sexual assault perpetrator, who had been living in prison, retaliated and assaulted a victim who accidentally encountered a woman on the street.



The Seoul Dongdaemun Police Department applied for an arrest warrant today (28th) against A 63-year-old man on charges of retaliation and intimidation under the Act on aggravated punishment for certain crimes.



Mr. A is accused of hitting B, a woman in his 60s, who accidentally encountered him on a street in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul at around 9:20 p.m. on the 26th, and stealing his mobile phone so that he could not report it.



He also threatened Mr. B, saying, "I'll kill you."



It is said that Mr. A committed sexual violence against Mr. B, was sentenced to one year in prison, was imprisoned, and was recently released from prison.



At the time of the retaliatory assault, an electronic anklet was also worn, but it was reported that there were no restrictions on going out or drinking.



The police registered Mr. B, who was anxious, for personal protection.



Mr. A is currently in the Dongdaemun Police Station detention center and is being investigated.
