An incumbent police officer who has been chasing a drunk woman for more than 10 minutes has been caught by the police.

The Incheon Western Police Department announced today (25th) that it is investigating Captain A (30) belonging to the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency for violation of the Act on the Punishment of Misdemeanor Crimes.

Captain A is accused of creating anxiety by chasing B, a woman in her twenties, for more than 10 minutes in a street in Simgok-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, at around 10:30 pm yesterday.

He said, "Hey," to Mr. B, who he saw for the first time at the time, but when there was no answer, it was investigated that he followed him for about 10 minutes and made a statement such as, "Let's run together."

After receiving a report from Mr. B's friend, the police went to the scene and carried out a random investigation with Captain A, and then took measures to return home.

Mr. B's friend was found to have reported to the police after receiving a call from Mr. B that "a man is following him."

A police official said, "After further investigation, Captain A will be charged with creating anxiety or continuing harassment under the Misdemeanor Penalty Act."

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency dispatched Captain A to the Incheon Ganghwa Police Station this morning.

The prosecutor's office is planning to call Captain A to investigate the facts and refer to the disciplinary committee if it is found to be dishonest.

In Incheon, an incumbent police officer recently approached a high school girl who had been drunk on the street and made a fuss about drinking together, and was referred to the disciplinary committee along with personnel measures.

A police officer from the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Unit approached three high school students drunk on a street in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, around 10:30 pm on the 20th.

It was investigated that he followed a group of girls who were far from home and tried to talk several times, saying, "Let's have a drink."
