An unlicensed entertainment bar, which was operating illegally in the basement of the building until midnight, was caught by the police.

Today (25th), the Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that 18 people, including business owners, employees, and customers, who had gathered at an entertainment bar on the first basement floor of a building in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, were caught at around 0:30 am on the 22nd.

The police reported that two business owners were charged with violating the Food Sanitation Act and reported to Gangnam-gu Office of the list of five employees and 11 customers who violated the quarantine regulations.

This pub, which started operating without a sign or company name, from the beginning of this month, was registered as a general restaurant, but in reality, it was caught as an entertainment pub.

As the crackdown began, the pub is known to have attempted to evacuate some guests through the underground passageway connected to the building next door, and the police are also reviewing how the passage was created and used and apply additional charges to the building owner.

According to the government's social distancing policy, in the metropolitan area, business restrictions after 10:00 p.m. until the 13th of the following month and grouping of six types of entertainment facilities such as entertainment and danran pubs are prohibited.
