Ministry of Public Affairs started a seizure and search of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education at 9:30 am today.

It is known that the seizure and search site is located on the 9th floor of the main building of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, where the office of Superintendent Jo Hee-yeon is located and the 10th floor of the Planning Office.

Investigators from the Ministry of Public Transport have secured a number of evidence related to the allegations of Superintendent Cho's special hiring of dismissed teachers.

Superintendent Cho is accused of abusing his authority in 2018 by instructing to hire five dismissed teachers specially, including those from the entire KTU.

Superintendent Cho accused Superintendent Cho of violating the National Civil Service Act last month, saying that it appears that he was hiring teachers despite the opposition from the staff in charge, and the Ministry of Public Affairs was transferred to the case.

This is the first case that has been assigned a case number since the launch of the Air Defense Agency.

Superintendent Cho said in a press conference at the end of last month that he was sorry, but emphasized that there is no legal problem with the special hiring of dismissed teachers.

After completing the analysis of the confiscated material that it secured today, the Ministry of Public Affairs is planning to initiate a summons investigation of the officers of the City Office of Education who were involved in the hiring process at the time.

In the midst of this, the Ministry of Public Affairs said that it has initiated a formal investigation from last month on the suspicion that Prosecutor Gyu-won Lee, a member of the Past Photographic Investigation Group of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, distorted the interview report with Yoon Joong-cheon and leaked it to the outside.
