The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Financial Crime Investigation Unit is confiscating and searching the city planning department of Guri City Hall from today (14th) morning.
The police have conducted an investigation after considering that the land in Guri City was bought using information obtained by Mr. Choi Mo, the secretary of the Mayor of Guri, Ahn Seung-nam.
The land is believed to have been purchased by Choi in the name of an acquaintance in January and June of last year, both inside and outside the Guri-si private labor development restricted area.
This area of land was finally announced by the city of Guri to build an e-commerce complex logistics complex in July of last year.
The police believe that Choi has been accused of violating the so-called anti-corruption law.
