A man in his twenties who threatened with a golf club after chasing an opponent for intervening in front of his car was sentenced to probation.

The Gwangju District Court 8 criminal exclusive (Judge Park Sang-soo)

announced yesterday (9th) that

20-year-old A,

who

was charged with special assault and other charges

,

was sentenced to six months in prison and one year probation.

Mr. A was handed over to trial on October 30, 2020 at around 12:20 p.m. on a road in Buk-gu, Gwangju, for threatening victim B's car with a golf club.

It was investigated that Mr. A committed the same crime after pursuing about 300m while swearing in anger that Mr. B's car had intervened in front of him.

The judge pointed out that "when looking at the methods and tools used in this case, the guilt is bad and the inability to agree with the victim is disadvantageous."

At the same time, he said, "It seems that the defendant was accidentally committed, and as a college student who is still young, we considered the fact that parents and relatives are petitioning for a good cause," he said, stating the reason for the sentence.
