Last night (8th) around 11:30 am, a worker who was inspecting facilities at Hyundai Steel's Dangjin Steelworks in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do died in an accident that was supposed to get caught.
According to the KCTU and the metals union, 44-year-old A of the Dangjin Works worked alone in the 1st hot rolling mill and 3rd heating furnace at the steel mill.
Mr. A was taken to the hospital, but died.
According to an official from the metallurgical union, it is said that Mr. A got caught in a machine while inspecting the facilities.
The police are investigating the details of the accident, including why Mr. A worked alone and whether there were any problems with the work equipment.
