While recovering after undergoing a sleep endoscopy, a male employee reported that he had been sexually harassed, and the police investigated.

According to the police, on the afternoon of the 3rd, a woman in her 30s received a colonoscopy while sleeping at a hospital in Changwon, Gyeongnam.

After the examination, the woman allegedly had improper physical contact by a male employee while lying in a recovery room wearing a screening suit with an exposed part of her body.

He said that he was molested because he touched the body by putting his hand inside the jacket while doing a massage, and washing the body.

The man has been identified as an assistant in his 20s, less than a year in service at the hospital.

He completely denied the woman's allegations.

The police are investigating hospital staff, including male staff accused as perpetrators, while securing and investigating closed circuit (CC) TVs in the hospital.

A police official explained, "If the crime is confirmed as the complainant stated, the charges of semi-forced harassment can be applied."

The hospital said, "We will actively engage in police investigations, such as submitting all necessary data."
