A younger brother in his twenties, arrested after four months after the murder of his sister, abandoned his body in an agricultural waterway in Ganghwa-do, Incheon, apologized to his parents, saying that he was "wrong" in a police investigation.

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's investigation team announced today (4th) that Mr. A (27), who was arrested for murder and abandonment of the body, was sent to the prosecution.

Mr. A is accused of stabbing and killing his older sister, B, in his 30s with a weapon in an apartment in Namdong-gu, Incheon in mid-December last year.

It was investigated that he left his sister's body on the roof of an apartment for 10 days, and then used a rental car at the end of the same month to a farming waterway in Seokmo-do, Samsan-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon.

The police will confirm the fact that Mr. A used the mobile messenger and bank account in the name of Mr. B after the crime, and will also add charges for violating the law on promotion of information and communication network use and information protection, and fraudulent use of computers.

On February 14 this year, when parents reported her sister's runaway to the police, Mr. A sent a manipulated KakaoTalk message to police investigators to deceive.

He plugged his sister's mobile phone SIM (subscriber identification module USIM) into another device and exchanged messages by himself, making it look like his sister was alive.

In the same way, even parents were tricked into canceling the runaway report filed by the police on the 1st of last month.

Using mobile banking, Mr. A transferred money from the bank account under Mr. B's name to his account and used it for living expenses, such as food.

Mr. B's body was found on the 21st of last month, four months after being abandoned in an agricultural waterway, and Mr. A was arrested by the police on the 29th of the same month.

Mr. A admitted to the charges in a police investigation, but claimed that the crime was accidental.

He said in the police, "I didn't match my sister's personality, and there was a trivial quarrel with my usual life attitude."

In further investigation, Mr. A said, "I was so wrong that I couldn't say anything to say," and "I apologize to my parents as well."
