Spotify will increase its prices in Europe.

If the precise list of the countries concerned has not yet been communicated, the music streaming platform has detailed which offers will suffer a price increase within a month, reports

.

Relief for some: the Standard offer at 9.99 euros is not moving.

On the other hand, the Student, Duo and Family formulas will increase and will soon cost between 6 and 18 euros.

A hell of a risk

Thus, the Student offer will go from 4.99 to 5.99 euros, the Duo offer from 11.99 to 12.99 euros and the Family offer from 15.99 to 17.99 euros.

People who have already subscribed to one of these offers will not see the price change until June.

For new subscribers, these rates apply now.

If it is only an increase of one or two euros, Spotify, with 150 million users worldwide, is taking a risk, notes

.

Most streaming platforms such as Deezer or Apple Music now charge similar prices.

Such an increase could cause a flight of subscribers, especially on the student side.
