The Supreme Court dismissed the plaintiff's claim in a lawsuit against the Democratic Party lawmaker Hwang Unha and the Democratic Party, so that Hwang remained as a member of the council.
The first part of the Supreme Court (Presiding Judge Kim Seon-eun) made a decision to dismiss the plaintiff in a lawsuit for invalidation of the election of a member of the National Assembly against Hwang by former Congressman Lee Eun-kwon (predecessor of the People's Power) on the 29th.
The Supreme Court ruled that "if an employee submits an employee within the deadline stipulated by the Public Official Election Act, regardless of whether the employee is accepted or not, it is deemed that he has quit his job at the time of receipt of the employee, and can join a political party and register as a candidate."
