Our law states that if you work for the specified number of days a week, you can receive weekly vacation pay equivalent to one day's wages. However, there was a report that a person who worked at a construction site ordered by a subsidiary in Seoul has not been receiving the money for more than eight months.

Reporter Jung Joon-ho covered the report.

Mr. A, a daily worker, worked at a subway construction site ordered by Seoul Transportation Corporation last year.

I worked 5 hours a day, 5 days a week for 5 months, but I haven't been receiving a weekly vacation allowance of 2 million won for 8 months.

[Mr. A/Daily Worker: I'm talking about (there is no weekly vacation pay) in the back, but (even if I try),'don't come out from tomorrow', you can't work right away... .] In

accordance with the Labor Standards Act, it is a natural right to receive weekly vacation pay as much as one day's wages if the number of days per week is met.

However, at this construction site, more than 40 people did not receive tens of millions of won per week.

The weekly vacation allowance must be paid by the construction company to the workers, but due to frequent non-payments, the city of Seoul decided to take responsibility for the money.

At the same time, they even advertised that construction workers' wages were raised as weekly vacation pay was paid to projects ordered in Seoul.

However, it was confirmed that the construction company did not even claim the weekly vacation allowance from Seoul.

The city of Seoul pays the weekly vacation allowance based on the smaller of the'estimated amount' and the'actual paid amount', but it is estimated that the company does not pay for it because the actual weekly vacation allowance is higher than the money to be supported by the city.

[Seoul City officials: There is a slight difference between the calculated amount according to the ratio table and the (actual payment), so whether it was not approved (there was no claim)]] As the

city of Seoul and the construction company quarrel, only the pain of workers is increasing.
