Regarding the controversial restructuring of Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced the "continue construction" policy.



Mayor Oh held an emergency briefing in the morning of today (27th) and revealed this policy, explaining that "34% of the process has already been carried out and a huge budget of 25 billion won has been put in."



"However, we will further enhance the historical performance and completeness," he said. "We will further promote'reinforcement of history, supplementation of facilities, and linkage of surrounding facilities'."



In particular, he emphasized that "we will restore the Woldae in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace and preserve and utilize cultural assets such as the Saheonbu and Samguns discovered during the construction process."
