WhatsApp

will expand the options available in

temporary messages

, which will allow a 24-hour period to be established so that new messages are automatically deleted.

Temporary messages are currently available for all conversations on WhatsApp.

It is an option that the user

can activate

and that if he does so, the messages sent in the

conversation will automatically disappear after seven days.

The technology company is working on new features for this function, as it has shared on its WABetaInfo portal, who indicates that another option will be added to the seven-day option that will allow messages

to be

eliminated

within 24 hours

.

By this option, if the user activates temporary messages in a chat (or the administrator in a group chat), he

will be able to choose

whether he wants the new messages to disappear one day after they are sent or one week later.

The option, says the aforementioned portal,

is currently under development

but will reach users in a "future update" of the application for iOS and Android and the desktop version.
