A fishing boat sank in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, and five crew members were rescued.



Today (24th) around 1:20 am, a 23-ton fishing boat sank 1.5km east of Seokbyeong 2-ri Port, Guryongpo-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do.



At the time of the sinking, five people were on board, including three Korean sailors and two Vietnamese sailors.



The Pohang Coast Guard, who was notified and dispatched, found and rescued the two sailors at the back of the ship and three who were drowning in the sea.



The rescued sailors complained of hypothermia and were taken to the hospital, but it is known that there is no harm in their lives.



The Coast Guard is investigating the exact cause of the sinking as it is believed that an accident occurred while returning to the port after finishing operation.
