An occupational disease was recognized for the late Choi Sook-Hyun, a triathlon player who made an extreme choice in June last year due to the harsh behavior of the coach and seniors.

The Korea Labor Welfare Corporation determined that Mr. Choi was committed to self-harm due to increased mental pressure and stress due to the violence of the perpetrators.

The Corporation believes that the death of the deceased has a significant causal relationship with work, but this is the first time such a judgment has been made in the sports industry.
