The next update of the TousAntiCovid application will bring a new functionality: the integration of PCR and antigenic test results as well as the certificate of vaccination against Covid-19.

The objective is to facilitate travel from the metropolis to Corsica and Overseas and then, secondly, abroad.

It is not yet a health passport but we are getting closer: the TousAntiCovid application will be updated to include test and vaccination certificates against Covid-19.

It will integrate these new features, in the "Carnet" tab, to prepare for the reopening, potentially mid-May, of some of the establishments currently closed to the public and, above all, to facilitate travel within and to the region. other countries.

A one-month test phase opened on Monday.

The goal is to transform TousAntiCovid into a kind of vaccination record 2.0.

A QR code to scan on your certificate

Concretely, as soon as the update is installed, it will be possible to integrate into the application, from April 19, the results of its PCR and antigen tests then, from April 29, of its injections of vaccine against the Covid-19. For this, laboratories and vaccination centers will now provide two documents: the result of the test or the vaccination certificate as well as a certificate authenticated by the SI-DEP, the population screening information system which centralizes all this information. .

To complete the course, you will need to scan a Datamatrix, a kind of QR code on the test result or the vaccination certificate.

It is simply a digitization of already existing processes since it is now possible to use these documents to move around.

"The objective is to facilitate the daily life of the French", argues in Bercy.

But the passage by TousAntiCovid will, in addition, to fight against fraud since the QR code to be scanned on the certificate or to be recovered online will be unique and encrypted.

What if I have already been vaccinated?

For the millions of French people already vaccinated, it will be necessary to wait "at the end of May" to be able to integrate their vaccination certificate to TousAntiCovid, specifies the General Directorate of Health.

In fact, all vaccination certificates will be certified a posteriori.

Once done, they can be retrieved from Ameli, the Health Insurance website, and added to the application.

Facilitate travel to France and Europe

Even if he did not use the term "health passport", the Secretary of State for Digital, Cédric O, was clear on Monday on the objective of these new features: to promote the resumption of travel. The vaccination certificate or negative test can thus be used for trips from the mainland to Corsica and Overseas. The first tests will be organized quickly with, in particular, Air France and Air Corsica.

Then, within "a fortnight", France hopes to be able to extend the experiment to border crossings with certain countries of the European Union.

"France is the first country in Europe to make this functionality available to its citizens. TousAntiCovid is increasingly becoming a Swiss army knife for health management," said Cédric O. Customs officers and police will be equipped for their part. a sister application, TousAntiCovid Verif, which will scan certificate codes and ensure their authenticity.

No obligation ... for now

As it stands, the government does not plan to make it compulsory to use the application to access restaurants when they reopen. A specific QR code system, to be scanned at the entrance to ensure tracing of contact cases, "is still being studied" with this in mind, indicates Cédric O. But "the situation may be different for large concerts, festivals or trade shows ".

As for the protection of the data contained in these 2.0 certificates, the government assures that they will only be stored in the user's phone. The Cnil was not approached by the government for this update but it played an "advisory" role in its design. Nearly 15 million French people have downloaded TousAntiCovid since its launch 10 months ago.
