<Reporter> On the

26th of last month, an apartment in Daegu, a postpartum helper,

puts

a baby on his leg.

After a few moments, the postpartum helper lowers the baby between his legs, without supporting his head with his hands, if he cannot properly hold his neck.

While holding only the baby's hand, repeat the raising and lowering four times.

Parents were so surprised by the behavior of the postpartum helper, and took the baby to a general hospital for medical treatment.

[Baby parents: My head was really white and I couldn't think of anything. I’m so surprised… I think I only had tears.] The

medical staff says that it can be dangerous if the head of a baby who has just been born is suddenly tilted.

[Pediatrician: (Baby) has a weak neck and a large and heavy head, which means that sudden head tilt can cause brain damage.] The

medical staff who had the treatment reported suspected abuse to the police, and the police from their parents. We received the complaint and initiated an investigation.

The police plan to conduct a detailed analysis of the CCTV video and then call a postpartum helper to investigate.

In response, the postpartum helper company insists that it is not abuse, saying that the postpartum helper played this way when raising their child.
