The diplomatic mission recalled that the UN General Assembly declared April 12 as the International Day of Human Space Flight in honor of Yuri Gagarin.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a trip to the city of Engels, Saratov Region, on Cosmonautics Day, visited the landing site of Yuri Gagarin.
