In a motel in Incheon, a two-month-old girl with a skull fracture was found in cardiac arrest, and the police investigated.

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Women and Youth Criminal Investigation Unit announced today (13) that it is arresting and investigating a man in his twenties on the charges of serious injury of child abuse under the Special Act on the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.

Mr. A is recently accused of abusing his daughter B, who is two months old, in a motel in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, and causing serious injury.

He reported to 119 today at around 0:3, saying, "My daughter is not breathing."

When the police were dispatched to the motel after receiving a request for joint response from the fire department, Ms. B was breathing, but was unconscious.

He was transferred to the intensive care unit of a nearby general hospital by 119 paramedics for treatment.

The police found a suspected case that Miss B had been abused and arrested Mr. A in an emergency.

When the fire department was dispatched, it was confirmed that Miss B had a fractured skull.

In an initial police investigation, Mr. A denied the charges, saying, "I accidentally hit the wall while carrying my daughter."

Ms. B stayed with her father at the motel with her 1-year-old brother, and his mother went out for a while and was not at the scene.

B's family were known to have been living in a motel for a short while from their original home due to rent problems.

The police confiscated Mr. A's mobile phone and are planning to check if there are any messages containing the abuse situation through digital forensics.

A police official said, "We have arrested the suspect as a result of child abuse was found, and the exact details are being investigated."
