  • Launched a few days ago, the “Quickly my dose” and Covidliste platforms make it possible to find an appointment to be vaccinated in a few clicks, or even to fight against wasted doses.

  • “In one week, we recorded nearly 2 million unique visitors,” explains Guillaume Rozier, the creator of “Vite ma dose”.

  • With the slogan #AucuneDosePerdue, the Covidliste site today claims more than 570,000 people registered.

"We must vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate" ... With the opening of vaccinodromes, the vaccination campaign has taken on a new dimension in recent days.

Nearly 10 million French people have already received a first dose of vaccine.

A figure which should gain momentum from this week with the opening from Monday of vaccination to people over 55 years old.

"We are expanding the campaign," said Health Minister Olivier Véran on Saturday.

To facilitate logistics and try to streamline vaccinations against Covid-19, several online initiatives have emerged.

The “Quickly my dose” and Covidliste platforms, launched a few days ago, now make it possible to find an appointment to be vaccinated in a few clicks, or even to fight against wasted doses.

Independent initiatives that help to boost the vaccine strategy, much criticized, put in place by the government.

"Make it easier to make an appointment"

Faced with the difficulty of finding vaccination slots, the "Quickly my dose" tool, created on April 1 by the computer engineer Guillaume Rozier, also at the origin of the CovidTracker site, has set itself the task of facilitating taking surrender.

"The objective of" Quickly my dose "is to connect vaccination centers - but also pharmacies and general practitioners - with people who are eligible, or who wish to be vaccinated as quickly as possible.

The algorithms we use go through all the booking platforms, detect the appointments that are available, and then indicate them to the user, who can then select the appointment closest to his home, and register directly. with the booking platform, whether Doctolib, Maya or KelDoc, ”

"Our search engine scans more than 3,000 vaccination centers, and among these centers, there are between 200 and 300 which have at least one appointment available, that is to say 10 to 12% of the structures which today have slots. of free ”.

Many people have found their date thanks to "Quickly my dose".

"This represents a significant part of appointments made on Doctolib, or between 5 and 10% of total registrations on the platform", specifies Guillaume Rozier, who indicates to have recorded in one week "more than 2 million unique visitors on his site ”.

The computer engineer, who also launched VaccinTracker (a tool to monitor the vaccination campaign in France) last January, expects an increase in traffic to his site this Sunday, after the announcement of the opening of vaccination to over 55s from Monday.

“We will also be rolling out an interface tonight with new elements that will allow users to have more information, such as the number of exact doses remaining in the centers or the type of vaccine offered”.

"No wasted dose"

Using every dose of vaccine available and avoiding waste, while some of them, including that of AstraZeneca, are shunned by part of the population, this is also the fight that Covidliste is waging.

Launched at the end of March, the site created by Martin Daniel, data scientist (data specialist), Mathieu Ripert, engineer, and Antoine Roux, doctor at the Foch hospital in Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine), is aimed at all people wishing to be vaccinated, even if they are theoretically not yet eligible.

With the slogan #AucuneDosePerdue, it aims to put them in touch with vaccination centers that have unused doses, for example because of the cancellation of an appointment, to prevent them from getting lost.

Covidliste now claims more than 570,000 people registered.

"It is a real-time networking platform between establishments and health professionals who have unused vaccine doses and unvaccinated volunteers," explains the initiators of the project.

To apply, a few clicks are enough: “Enter your information and validate your registration.

When a dose is available, a link is sent to you.

Upon confirmation, you are put in touch with a vaccination center.

Please note: if you do not quickly validate your request, this dose will be allocated to a future volunteer, ”explains the website.

These initiatives, which are based on data made public [such as the number of appointments, supply of doses, etc.], have been welcomed by the public authorities.

"These are good initiatives," said the Ministry of Health, which sees these applications as additional tools in the fight against the virus, alongside many other means of linking the public and vaccination centers. .

“All of this is complementary.

The idea is to serve the same objective, to protect people ”.
