It is a cartographic tool allowing to obtain a comparative table of all the fixed Internet access offers on the market from an address, reports

.

The speeds offered are thus indicated according to the technology used (fiber, cable, DSL, satellite) and the operators.

The tool had already been developed, but in beta.

It is therefore an official version which works as well for mainland France as for the overseas departments.

Color codes to navigate

The tool is used from a geolocation or an address.

After that, the results of “maximum available flow rates” are displayed in a window on the left.

To navigate quickly, Acerp has chosen a color code.

For high flow rates, the color is blue.

It is dark for speeds of 1 Gbit / s and above.

It is green between 6 and 100 Mbit / s, and dark between above 20 Mb / s. Yellow has been chosen for speeds from 2 to 10 Mbit / s, orange from 0.5 Mbit / s to 4 Mbps.

Finally, red indicates that the chosen area is ineligible.

Visible digital inequalities

It is also possible to carry out broader searches by choosing to show all the zones with a given flow at the municipal, departmental or regional level.

The opportunity to see the digital inequalities between the different areas of the country.

They are visible from 30 Mb / s.

The data used dates from September 2020. But they will be updated as the fiber roll-out progresses.
