Many countries have started their coronavirus vaccination campaign and Facebook wishes to support their efforts.

Since this Thursday, the social network has been offering two filters on this theme to add to his profile picture.

These filters allow users to indicate that they have been vaccinated and encourage their friends to get vaccinated as well.

The filters were designed in partnership with the US Department of Health and Human Services, Facebook said in a statement relayed by

The influence of relatives

The words are unambiguous: "Let's get vaccinated" and "I have received my vaccine against Covid-19".

Facebook will then go further by highlighting those vaccinated on their friends' news feed.

“We know that people are more likely to get the vaccine when they see a lot of loved ones they trust who do,” Facebook says.

The American social network is based on scientific studies which show "the important impact of social norms on people's attitudes" in matters of health.

After a successful test in the UK, the filters are now available all over the world.
