A man in his 50s who assaulted and abused his wife in front of his young daughter was sentenced to jail at trial.
Incheon District Court criminal 13 alone (Judge Kwon Hyeok-jae) announced yesterday (31th) that he sentenced 51-year-old A to a sentence of eight months in prison for charges such as special assault, damage to special property, and violation of the Child Welfare Act (child abuse).
Mr. A was drunk in his home living room in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, around 7 p.m. on January 4, and was charged with assaulting his wife B, throwing a side dish container and a frying pan, and slapping the kitchen chair with a weapon.
Earlier in 2018, while arguing with Mr. B, he threw a fan, and in November 2020, he was also charged with throwing canned coffee to hurt him.
It was investigated that Mr. A assaulted Mr. B in front of his real daughter C.
Mr. A is also charged with emotional abuse of Ms. C, threatening “I have no mother from tomorrow” and “I will kill” Ms. C, who was only 10 to 13 years old for each crime.
