A study by Limelight Networks, a company specializing in content hosting, reveals that video game players spent an average of 8 hours and 27 minutes on this activity each week in 2020, an increase of 14% compared to 2019. A total of 4,000 gamers from China, Germany, India, Indonesia, South Korea, UK, US and Vietnam were surveyed, reports

In France, the average was 9 hours last year.

58% casual gamers

If the average of this study is 8 hours and 27 minutes per week, 25% of respondents said they play more than 12 hours per week.

A third of the players surveyed also ensure they play more than five hours in a row.

On the other hand, only 22% of gamers say they are experts when 58% are ultimately only occasional players and 14% novices.

For 47% of gamers, speed and screen rendering are decisive in choosing a game. History also accounts for 40% of respondents and the regularity of updates for 39% of them.
