Bike ride

If what you want is to do some sport in nature without leaving the city,

the green cycling ring that surrounds Madrid

is one of the most recommended plans.

It can be started from any point of its 64 kilometers.

One of the most beautiful sections is the North, about 30 km long, which goes from Casa de Campo to Las Tablas.

It can be accessed from the

Casa de Campo metro station

(at the intersection with the A-5) and from there, run through the surroundings of this lung of the city (bordering the Lake) and the banks of the Manzanares river and, after crossing the A-6, crossing, among other neighborhoods, Ciudad Universitaria and Puerta de Hierro.

Then there is a long climb of approximately 2.5 km that crosses the Colmenar road, passing through Arroyo del Fresno, Mirasierra, Montecarmelo, Tres Olivos and Las Tablas, where the route can be finished.

In between, there are more alternative cycling routes, such as the one that goes to Soto del Real.
