The impeachment judgment of former Busan High Court Chief Judge Im Seong-geun begins today (24th).

The Constitutional Court is holding a preparation date for the impeachment trial of former Vice-President Judge Lim at 2 pm today.

The preparation date for pleading is a procedure in which the National Assembly and the former vice-president judge decide the list of evidence submissions and the method of pleading.

When preparations for a pleading are complete, the two sides will fight in earnest over the unconstitutionality of Judge Lim's'trial intervention', which is the issue.

Former Vice-President Judge Lim appointed former Constitutional Judge Lee Dong-eok, former president of the Korean Bar Association, Kang Chan-woo, and Yoon Geun-soo as agents.

Attorneys Hong-seok Yang, Mi-yong Shin, and Myung-woong Lee were appointed as the representatives of the National Assembly who prosecuted the impeachment, and it is said that former Constitutional Judge Song Doo-hwan, former chairman of Minbyun, took the role of the head.

On the day of the Sewol ferry accident, former Vice-President Judge Lim is under suspicion of intervening in the trial of Japan's Sankei Shimbun Seoul bureau chief, who was accused of defamation by reporting a scandal by Park Geun-hye on the day of the Sewol ferry accident.

He was acquitted at the first trial of the criminal trial, but the National Assembly voted on an impeachment proceeding on the 4th of last month on the grounds that his actions were unconstitutional.
