“ECTs are divided into two stages: on the day when one crew demonstrates the skills to control the spacecraft, the other performs tasks on the simulator of the Russian segment of the International Space Station,” the center said.

It is noted that at the second stage of training, the crews change places.

The flight of the Russian Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft from the Baikonur cosmodrome is scheduled for April 9, 2021.

The main crew included Commander Oleg Novitsky, Flight Engineer Pyotr Dubrov and NASA Astronaut Second Flight Engineer Mark Vande Hai.

Earlier, the Cosmonaut Training Center commented on plans to install the "Science" module on the ISS.
