Google is rolling out an instant caption feature for videos launched from the Chrome browser.
To benefit, the user must have the latest stable version of the web browser, 89.0.4389.90, reports
01Net
, this Thursday.
Videos and subtitles in… English
This feature called "Live Caption" is disabled by default.
To be able to activate it, simply go to the "Advanced settings" section of Google's browser, then "Accessibility".
There, it is necessary to activate the “instantaneous subtitles”.
When the user opens a video, the subtitles are automatically put in place.
The only downside is that the feature is only available for English videos.
And this is not a translation.
The displayed text is also in English.
You can then easily close the subtitles window by clicking on the button provided for this purpose.
