An accident occurred in which an elementary school student was hit by a truck in a children's protection area in front of an elementary school in Incheon.
Today (18th) around 1:50 pm, in front of an elementary school in Sinheung-dong, Incheon, 4th grader A was hit by a truck driven by a male B in her 60s.
When 119 paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident, Ms. A was already in cardiac arrest.
Ms. A was found to have been altered by Mr. B, estimated to be 25 tons, while crossing the crosswalk in front of the elementary school.
The police said Mr. B did not drunk and drive, but the exact circumstances of the accident need to be investigated further.
As the accident occurred in the school zone, Mr. B is expected to be charged with violating a specific crime aggravated punishment law called the'Civil Diet Act'.
The police are investigating whether there is a signal violation or speeding based on the black box.
