The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications, Posts and Press Distribution (Arcep) reveals that the quality of mobile Internet is improving both in the various metros in France but also in TGVs and on highways, reports 01net.

The Paris metro now has a 95% success rate for loading a web page in less than 10 seconds with the four main operators.

A very satisfactory score which is in particular due to the finalization of the 3G and 4G coverage of its stations in June 2020.

Quality disparities according to operators

On the side of Lyon, Toulouse and Rennes, the trains present "an almost perfect Web browsing", according to the telecoms gendarme.

On all French metros, the success rate for loading a web page in less than 10 seconds is now between 85 and 88%.

In TGVs, mobile Internet is also improving, in particular thanks to the quality of new trainsets which have recently been put on track.

On this point, the test results differ from one operator to another: for Orange the success rate is 81%, Bouygues Telecom comes behind with 72% and finally Free and SFR are at 69%.

Finally, concerning the main roads, Acerp unveiled improvements last December with a success rate of 96% for Orange, 94% for Bouygues Telecom and SFR and 92% for Free.
