PD Ahn Joon-young, who was accused of manipulating rankings while in charge of the audition program'Produce 101', was sentenced to two years in prison.



The third division of the Supreme Court announced today (11th) that in the appeal of Mr. Ahn, who was charged with fraud and other charges, it has confirmed the court case sentenced to two years in prison and a surcharge of 37 million won.



Ahn was handed over to trial on charges of manipulating the results of paid text voting for viewers in a live broadcast contest of'Produce 101' of Mnet, a music channel specializing in music, and receiving entertainment worth tens of millions of won from entertainment agency officials.



Producer Kim Yong-beom, who was charged with the same charges, was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison, and executives and employees of entertainment agency were sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of probation.
