It turns out that Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who is being investigated by the prosecution for illegal administration of propofol, is under further investigation by the police.
The South Gyeonggi Police Agency said, "The drug investigation department is investigating this vice-chairman," and said, "We cannot confirm the details."
Previously, Vice Chairman Lee is under investigation by the prosecution for routine administration of Propofol at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul in 2017.
MBC reported, "The police secured CCTV footage of walking while holding a vial of Propofol."
In response, Vice-Chairman Lee issued a statement saying that "the doctor prescribed a legal nutrient solution that was administered" and that there was no illegal medication.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office Citizens' Committee will discuss whether to accept Lee's request to convene the Investigation Review Committee tomorrow.
