It is a secret project but some information has just been revealed.

Tesla is said to be building a giant battery in Texas (United States), which would then have to be plugged into the local electricity grid.

The subsidiary of the automaker, Gambit Energy Storage LLC, is currently participating in the installation of this battery about sixty kilometers from Houston, revealed

A region not chosen at random

The location of its installation is not trivial: the future battery is located in a region of Texas where a major failure deprived many residents of electricity during the cold snap that occurred last February.

The location of this project would therefore not be the result of chance, quite the contrary.

Especially since Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently reportedly decided to move to Texas to live.

The billionaire's projects and his various companies are multiplying in the American state.

Tesla, future electricity supplier?

Another giant battery project had already been carried out by Tesla in 2017, near a wind farm in Australia.

The existence of a second similar project confirms the company's desire to play an increasingly large role as an electricity supplier.

Tesla's energy branch also markets a range of solar roofs.

After Canada, this type of product could soon arrive in Europe.

At the same time, Elon Musk continues to develop his activities as an automobile manufacturer but also in the space conquest sector with his company SpaceX.
