The police, who are investigating allegations of speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), of speculation in the new cities of Gwangmyeong and Siheung, Gyeonggi-do, have entered a forced investigation today (9th).



The Anti-Corruption Economic Crime Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency is sending investigators to the headquarters of Jinju LH in Gyeongnam Province this morning to obtain related data.



The seizure and search are carried out simultaneously at the LH Gwacheon Uiwang Business Headquarters in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, the LH Gwangmyeong Siheung Business Headquarters in Incheon, and the homes of 13 employees who are suspicious of speculation.



All 67 investigators were employed.



It is reported that three of the employees who were suspicious of speculation were employed at the Gwacheon Uiwang Business Headquarters, and the Gwangmyeong Siheung Business Headquarters is in charge of the 3rd new city project in Gwangmyeong Siheung, where speculation suspicions arose.



All 13 employees who were seized and searched today are incumbent.



The police are investigating them as suspects by applying the anti-corruption law charges, and have completed a ban on departure.



In addition to these, two former employees are being investigated. Currently, there are 15 suspects in this case, but two former employees are reported to have been excluded from the seizure search today.



A police official said, "We plan to secure evidence through this seizure and search, and investigate quickly and strictly in accordance with laws and principles."



In this case, which was triggered by the alliance of participation and the suspicion of the association of lawyers for a democratic society (Minbyun), a civic group active bindan accused the LH employees, who were the alleged parties disclosed by Minbyun and others, and the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency is in charge of the investigation.



As the speculation controversy among LH employees expands, the National Investigation Headquarters (Guksu-bon) headed the National Investigation Bureau as the head of the National Investigation Bureau, and the Gyeonggi Southern Office, which has jurisdiction over the'three new city project sites', including the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division, Major Crime Investigation Division, and Crime Information Division. A special investigation team composed of three provincial police offices, including Gyeonggibuk-do Office and Incheon Office, is being investigated.
