Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus announced a release date for its new range of mobile phones on Monday.
The OnePlus 9 series, which will get a better camera, will be presented on March 23.
OnePlus has also announced that it will work with Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad over the next three years to improve phone cameras.
"This gives the OnePlus 9 series the most advanced OnePlus camera system to date," said the company, which plans to invest 150 million dollars (more than 126 million euros) in camera technology over the next three years.
The OnePlus 9 series, which will presumably consist of the OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, will be the first series involving the Swedish manufacturer.
Hasselblad will initially focus on improving the camera software.
For example, colors should be adjusted differently for a more natural result.
The new phones will also be equipped with a new Sony camera sensor: the Sony IMX789.
Presumably, this sensor has a 50-megapixel resolution.
Also, videos in 4K resolution can be captured at 120 frames per second and 8K videos at 30 frames per second.
