It has been found that the teachers at Jeju daycare centers, where the incident of frequent assaults against children, have been abused in practice.



It was confirmed that the children affected also included the director's granddaughter and children with disabilities.



The Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Police Agency announced today (8th) that it is investigating five teachers at a daycare center in Jeju City for continuing assaulting children (violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes).



According to the police, the five teachers at these daycare centers are accused of assaulting 13 children aged 1-2 years old.



It was found that among the victims, the child with a disability was included, as well as the birth and granddaughter of this day care center director.



This daycare center is an integrated daycare center for children with disabilities.



Closed circuit (CC) TV in the daycare center has been confirmed to contain the pictures of these daycare center teachers pushing children, hitting their belly several times, and kicking their ass with their feet.



Emotional abuse has also occurred, such as taking the plate while eating.



Video was stored in this nursery's CCTV from November 9th last year to February 15th.



Excluding the weekends and the days closed due to Corona 19, exactly 60 days' worth was saved.



Under the Infant Child Care Act, CCTVs in day care centers are required to store at least 60 days.



Police believe these daycare teachers have done this as a practice.



The police said, "depending on the progress of the investigation, the number of arrested persons and victims may increase."



The daycare center has 12 directors and teachers, and 83 children were found to attend.



In this regard, a post titled'Please thorough investigation of childcare center abuse and strong punishment' was posted on the Blue House National Petition Bulletin on the 6th, and currently 2,2 people have agreed.



Earlier, the daycare center issued an apology, saying, "I have been teaching teachers about child abuse once a month, and have done a child abuse checklist, but I am truly sorry for this situation."



He explained, "I have been trying to increase the teacher's willingness to childcare by grasping the teacher's disposition through the Anagram (personality diagnosis test) and supporting psychological treatment."
